Year 3's BIG DIG!
Just as Year 3 were going to start their new Roman topic, we got a tip off from Mrs Rowland that there were possibly some Roman artefacts in the Wildlife Area. So we became History Detectives and began to dig! Like true archaeologists we split up and dug in certain areas, taking care not to break any of our potential finds. We then dusted off any artefacts we did find, bringing them back to the classroom for closer inspection. Having looked at the size, shape and material of the object we tried to work out what it might have been used for in Roman times. The Mission Grove Museum will be open for business soon!!
