Wren Class at the Tate Modern Gallery
As part of our topic on Expressionism and the different ways in which people creatively express themselves, we went to visit the iconic Tate Modern art gallery in Central London. The children really enjoyed walking around and discussing the art they saw and did a fantastic job of analysing and intepreting the meaning behind different painting, even proving their skills as art critics to some of the general public!
They have since has the chance to make their own optical illusion pictures based on the art of Bridget Riley, and the children have all said it has been one of their favourite trips. How lucky we are to have such an amazing gallery on our doorstep!
