Chaffinch's Home Learning 18.5-1.6

These are some pictures of Chaffinch's home learning.

Chaffinches please send your home learning to so it can be shared on this page.

Miss Conroy and MIss Syeda

Well done Chaffinch. We won this week's TTRockstars battle.

Well done to Dawid, Katie, Rayan and Tahmida for earning more than 1,000 points and to Muhammad Mahir for earning more than 5,000.

This week's competition has already begun and some of you have already won points. Well done!

It's been great to see so many of you reading this week. Well done to those who have been reading and doing AR tests.

Shameer sent me some of the drawings he has done. He has also been practising his 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables.

Uzair has been doing lots of column addition using regrouping.

Most of you have sent me information about your experiences in school this year. Using these I can write the personal comment for your school report. If you have not yet emailed me, can you email with the answers to these questions:

  • What trip did you like?
  • What has your favourite book been that you have looked at in class?
  • What enrichment have you enjoyed the most?
  • What is your favourite subject and why?
  • What are you looking forward to next year?

Thank you, Miss Conroy

Hi guys, I hope that you are all having a great half term break. It's great to see so many of you playing TTRockstars, Numbots and reading using Bug Club and AR. Keep it up!

Remember to keep an eye on Miss Jenning's newsletters for any information about our school opening, the new routines we will have and how parents will be picking up Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.

Raya has created some lovely artwork.

Shameer played maths games using his nerf gun and practised his handwriting.

Hi Chaffinches!

On Saturday, some of you will be celebrating Eid. This year Eid will be quite different to previous years as you must celebrate with the people you live with and cannot celebrate with others. Obviously, this will be quite difficult but hopefully we will all be able to gather with our families and friends and celebrate after lock down ends fully.

Next week, we will not be putting up tasks each day as we will be preparing for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 returning to school in June. Miss Jennings has uploaded a video about the procedures we will be putting in place for these year groups' return. Please keep an eye on the website and on newsletters as any information about returning to school will be in these.

Even though we will not be putting work online next week, you will still be able to email me any work that you are doing or any questions you want to ask. There are lots of different tasks you could be doing:

Eid Mubarak,

Miss Conroy

Muhammad Mahir solved time probelms and identified rhyming words in poems.
