This half-term our P.E day is Monday and Thursday. Please ensure the children come to school in the correct school uniform.

Goldcrest class performed a wonderful assembly for their parents.
Star of the Week
Well done to our stars of the week.
This week we looked at European cities and compared them to London. For Maths, we have been learning how to count money and add money. Goldcrest class students wrote poems, using pictures from our class book Leaf.

It's come to the end of another busy week. Goldcrest class have been busy learning all about The Stone Age homes.
For science, we have been learning about rocks. Here is some of our work:

It's come to the end of a very busy and fun term. Goldcrest class enjoyed their Christmas lunch and were in a very festive mood.
We have some excellent readers in Goldcrest class. The children that had read more than 50000 words received a yellow star. Daniel read more than 250000 words and received an orange star. Well done Daniel!
Goldcrest class really enjoyed ice skating.

This week our Christmas tree arrived. We were very busy making Christmas decorations, for the tree and our classroom. The children also had a wonderful time during movie night, and really enjoyed the film.
For Literacy we have been reading Krindlekrax. We drew Krindlekrax from the description in the book. This is Daria's interpretation.
The children on South site had a wonderful time when the pantomime came to us.
For Maths we have been learning about lines.
Goldcrest class are proud to have won the guess the teacher competition.

Today is the end of another busy week at Mission Grove. It has been Literacy week and our theme was poetry. We started of the week by visiting North site for a workshop by the Poet Zoheb Khan. He was very inspiring and children wrote their own poems.
We have been writing and preforming our poems.
For Maths we have been learning all about shapes. We made 3D shapes.
On Thursday we visited North site to attend a workshop called 'Clever never Goes'

This is the end of another busy week. Goldcrest class enjoyed the visit to Kew Gardens. We also took part in a Rock Steady assembly as well as learning map symbols and how to draw maps.

Goldcrest Class Trip - Kew Gardens
Week beginning 20th September 2021
Thank you to all the parents who attended Goldcrest coffee morning. I hope it was useful and informative.
This week, Goldcrest have been learning how to draw faces. They drew a portrait of their own faces.
The star of the week is Halima. Halima learned the most house points this week. She completed all her quizzes and achieved a 100%. Well done Halima! A huge well done to Max for scoring the highest in the Accelerated Maths test. Well done Max!
We have had a great start to AR. Well done to Celeste who has the highest word count of
25655 words.
Please make sure children are reading their AR books every day. They also need to spend time on TT Rock Stars to help them learn their times tables.
