It's the final countdown - but we're not just finished yet. This is our last day of online learning before the full reopening of school on Monday and it's time to say how proud we are of all of the work that you have sent to us and a REALLY BIG WELL DONE for keeping on task at home. We can't wait to welcome you back into school and continue our learning together again!
Zoom has planned another fun activity for you to join in with........
I hope you had lots of fun yesterday thinking about your favourite stories and enjoying World Book Day. Today I'd like you to write your instructions for the practical activity you completed on Wednesday. Here are the key things you need to remember to include.
- a title and sub-heading for different sections.
- imperative verbs.
I can't wait to see what instructions you send me to try out!
Here is the maths warm-up. Which methods have we learned to work out each of these questions?
Today we are learning about position and direction. It is important to remember the words we use - left, right, forwards, backwards. The direction is always given from the way you are facing, and you can also turn (just like when we programme the BeeBots in school).
How does each of these animals get to the leaves?
The ladybird goes right two squares. The bird goes forwards two squares.
You task today is to answer the following questions.
Now try writing some instructions/directions.
How could he get from the dark blue square to the parrot?
How could he get from the dark blue square to the coins?
How can you move from the dark blue square to the compass?
Good luck with your tasks today. Don't forget to share your work with us. We look forward to seeing you on Monday!

Today we are looking at the symmetry in shapes.
There are lots of things in the world around us that are symmetrical. Can you think of anything that might be symmetrical in your house? What about in the park? Keep an eye out for lots of symmetrical items.
Tasks are attached below and in the files on teams. You can choose which challenge to do depending on how confident you feel.
It will be lovely to see all your instructions. Please don't forget to send them in so we can see your amazing work, Have a fabulous day.
