Hello everyone and welcome to Swallow's class page. I hope you look forward to exploring this page and finding out more about what we are learning and the fun activities we have been involved in.
Well done to all of the Swallows and their parents for getting through lockdown!! We have finally made it!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you parents for your ongoing support and dedication throughout online learning... your children have been superstars and that is because of you! We can not wait to see you all on Monday and start our Reception learning experience again at school. We have lots of new, fun and exciting things planned and can't wait to get started! See you on Monday bright and early!

This week is STEM WEEK!! We have lots of amazing activities lined up for the children to enjoy!!
Our new topic this half term is Growing. We will be learning about the different things that grow, how they grow and what they need in order to grow. These will include ourselves, animals and a variety of different plants. We will be making the most of our Wildlife Area this Spring and will be growing a variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers in our Biodome and the planters that surround it. If you have any spare packets of seeds at home please bring them in and we'll be happy to grow them for you.
We have already looked at Jack and the Beanstalk and will also look at The Little Red Hen and Handa's Surprise.
This half term we will also be focusing on Height, Time and Money as well as recapping Addition, Subtraction, Number Bonds, Shape, Size and Pattern during our Maths sessions.
We look forward to sharing photos and videos of what your children have been up to at school! Please send us what you have been up to at home too through your child's EXAT account and keep the hard working going!
