Well done Warbler class for having the best attendance record for the last week before half-term!
Our topic focus for this new half-term is the Second World War.
We have PE every Monday afternoon so it is best for the children to come in wearing their PE kits on that day, instead of their school uniform. Some children also have PE on Wednesday afternoons.
Many thanks to all those emailing in work during the recent isolation period. House points will be given out based on their engagement with the tasks.
Please remember that it is vital at this time that, should your child need to remain at home for an extended period, they must continue to attempt the tasks published on the Year 6 website so that they do not fall behind with their learning.
Everyone in Warbler class should be trying to read for thirty minutes at home every day, including at weekends. Our reading stars so far this half-term are Ikram, Aleyah, Yahia, Aleena, Baazil, Muhammad, Pragas, Gabriel, Deepmoy and Ameera.
Each child has their own log-in details for this website to make sure that their times table skills remain strong. The quicker they can calculate, the quicker they will be able to solve maths problems, especially if they feel confident in their abilities. Well done to those children currently spending significant amounts of time practising: Pinar, Hajra, Yahia, Muhammad and Chlorie.
Over the coming weeks, on this page we will be publishing some examples of the work completed by the children, as well as some of their thoughts on the topics we are covering in lessons.
